Thursday night went with some friends around
downtown Beirut and saw this beautiful mosque

Friday preparations for Sabbath potluck :)

Sabbath after potluck a friend, my boss, and I went on an
adventurous excursion to a river (and took a few wrong turns on the way).
This was the view from one of the little back roads we were driving on. 

About 6 min away from the river we stopped and enjoyed
some yummy berries

In sight of the river there was a small farm of strawberries!
The farmers house was right next to the river and they also
had persimmon trees, tomatoes, and other things.

The river! One of the reasons for our excursion was to see
some evidence of Fall. We found it :)

Drive back to Beirut after dark. The star above the city to the
left is Antares (Made me think of Ben Hur :))
